Event at minimum wage, that is only like 2 hours work...
It would take me more than 2 hours to do the logo. -

Yup, you just HAVE to laugh in a situation like that, the alternative - a grown man crying - just ain't pretty!
I quit counting how many folks have said to me, "do my site for free and you can advertise on it plus I'll tell all my friends".
Umletmethinkaboutit... no.
I would estimate that in the last 12 months I've done about $10K worth of donation sites (for good causes of course).
So many would-be (or is that wanna-be?) "web designers" are in waaaaay over there head. I like the "pirated version of Dreamweaver and no experience analogy, how true!

- Well all you guys are waaaaay more professional at this than I am, I am still just a hack. But even I have had some of these requests from people. One of the sites I managed for a church, had a pastor who thought she could design the site better than me. She went through the thing and changed all the fonts and made them huge and bold and every color of the rainbow. I don't work with her anymore....

When dealing with ridiculous clients and ridiculous requests... I just OUT ridiculous them. works everytime....
if you can be the cockiest, most arrogant, over priced charging snot they ever encountered,, they figure you must be really really good,,, or an idiot,,, but by the time they figure that one out,,, the works been done your way and you've been paid.
but thats just me
