More than one front page article?

Good evening,
I am a very new member to this site, and so far am very impressed with the quality of the work that has gone into producing these templates and making it so very easy for us to modify for our sites.
I am using the Versatility III template, and am running into a slight snag. I don't know if this is related only to this template, or to Joomla as a whole, but I am wanting to display two content items on the front page at the same time. In my content manager, I have both iteams created, and both are checked to be displayed on the front page. However, only the first item will show up.
There's probably something very simple (or even stupid) that I am not seeing here, but I've been fiddling around with this for over an hour and can't seem to make any progress.

Thanks for the reply. I did confirm that both of the items are published (checked on both the Front Page Manger & Content listing pages) and checked for showing on the Front Page.
I used the 'ultimate' installer package from RocketTheme, which included the Joomla package as well as the template I would like to work with. I downloaded a different theme (just to see what would happen), and again only one of the two content items checked for the front page were displayed.

- Check the settings in your menu manager. Go to the menu manager and click on your home page item, then check the settings on the right.
- Say no to Internet Explorer 6.

Welcome to RT and Joomla!. Make sure that you make the same changes to all instances of "Home" in different menus.
