A site that I am building needs to be able to import a CSV file of people and set them up as Registered Users, without overwriting the existing list of users. Does anyone know a good extension for that - one that is easy to set up and operate.
The same site needs to be able to import a CSV file of the users and their contact details into the Contacts section of Joomla. Does anyone know a good extension for that - again, one that is easy to set up and use.

I must mention Fabrik on every post recently, think i need commission lol
Fabrik lets you create a custom Joomla registration form which creates a joomla user upon submission.
Fabrik also allows CSV imports/exports from the front-end and back-end for you to fill a SQL table with data.
Im not 100% sure (i would fire your question to their support gurus) but i think you can make a user reg form and import CSV's using Fabrik.

I know this is an old post, but does this work to import Magento Users to a Joomla site? I'm trying to convert an existing Magento community site to a Joomla site that uses Ecwid and the Single Sign on. So essentially i need to get these users imported to the Joomla "registered" user list and Ecwid should sync with it.
I already purchased the Pro version of this but noticed that its only asking to upload contacts, not users.
