    At a Cross Roads

    • I've got a client that is a large event promoter. I've been doing a site for them now for about a year and a half. We're running a dominion theme on 1.5. but its heavily customized. I am about to add a large amount of content to the site, video.

I'm debating on a complete move away from joomla though now. The problem that I have is, that I'd like to move the site to 1.7 and be ready for 2.5 when it comes out. I know that support for joomla 1.5 will stop in april of the upcoming year.

We only post blog posts about once every week. The rest of the time, its static content.

If I'm going to have to redo the site anyways should I say with joomla or move to my own html 5 site?

I really like the looks and feel of the ufc.com site, but I dont know if that is a php site or html or what.

What are your thoughts? If I was blogging daily itd be a different story but for seo and site maintenance i feel like joomla is not doing me any good now.
