Removing News Feed from the Frontpage

- i am wanting to remove the news feed from the front page. When i unpublish it all i get nothing to display. Is there a way to disable this module from the front page?

Go to Admin > Modules > Site Modules > News Feed
Select all other items except Home in the right column calls Menu Items. - James Spencer / Developer & Support / Hull, UK

- Yes but it has to be the news feed? Like is the news feed coded in so that it can't be unplublished from the front page?
