For me it was great until about five minutes before it went red :'( ...then the clouds came in... not enough to block it completely, but just darkened the sky a bit too much for my camera to focus (stupid fuji s5000 has no manual focus).
I just moved from the country into the city, and I am yet to miss a lunar eclipse. Looking up last night at it nearly broke my heart, the sky was SO light polluted, and red. It looked like the moon was bleeding.
Halleys comet was still more impressive... but, this was nice, clear skies.
