Site doesn't load after publishing a menu item

Right, I know this is nothing to do with RT but I'm asking here in case anyone has had this issue before.
Site is on 1.5.26 and is working fine. The minute I add a new menu item nothing loads at the frontend. Backend is fine. Debug doesn't show .. nothing. If I unpublish the menu item, then the site loads again.
Seems very strange to me - anyone had this before or have any pointers?

- Low memory condition on your web hosting account probably. Increase memory_limit in php.ini

- An addition, because this is quite bizarre. If I unpublish another menu item and then publish the new one, the site works. Then, if I publish the old menu item the site doesn't load, it's like I've reached the limit of menu items I can have, but I've only got 40 odd ..

Increased from 48mb to 128mb and still doesn't work .. any other suggestions??

- Just seen that it is based on the Afterburner free template .. will that have anything to do with it?

I wouldn't know and I can't guess
Set error reporting in Joomla global config to the maximum so you can see actual error message that is right now hidden - Check my services at: Mihha-Vision

Thanks for the tip. Okay after that and trying to publish the menu item twice and checking the error log, this is what I get:

Did you try to update all extensions and Joomla itself? If that doesn't help then I am afraid I can't help you any more. If you read this announcement from 19 Dec 2011
