Content pages unexpectedly shown at homepage

Hi,
Got a strange problem.
I have 4 articles in category of a section. The first is used as an menuitem. The other 3 are linked from the first one and are not menuitems.
Problem is....
Sometimes the assigned modules do not show up, sometimes when clicking a link the contentitems are shown at the homepage!?
Is it a really strange thought that this might be due to OpenSEF or am I missing an elemental thing???
