Any benefit to using dudamobile, bmobilized or mobify?

Hi All,
Would like some opinions on this - Is there any advantage to using a service like dudamobile, bmobilized or mobify for creating mobile versions of websites?
I know that responsive templates would make these services (which render the content of a site and convert to a more user friendly mobile experience) mostly unnecessary. But what about those users who 1) have an older, non-responsive template, or 2) (gasp!) might not have a site at all ? These services claim that you can create a mobile site without having a web version in place.
Taking in to account that there are a few website developers out here that are more designer than coder, what I am hoping for is that there are a folks out there that have experienced one or more of these platforms and can give objective reasoning to use them or not.

Responsive is the way to go for sure. Google has actually taken a stance on this as well and is sort of penalizing sites that have a specific mobile site that doesn't offer all the information that the desktop site does. They deem this as a poor user experience in that a user is redirected away from what they clicked on to a mobile version where you show them something different than what a desktop user would see.
You avoid this by using a responsive layout...even though some items may be "hidden", it's still pretty much the desktop page that the user is seeing.
Google around for info on this and you'll find tons of blog posts and info about it.
