I just joined Rockettheme's template club yesterday. I have been hesitating to do so for over a year and a half now and finally thought it was time to just DO it. ;D
One of the reasons I wanted to join was this: some time ago I noticed rockettheme provided a couple of templates for the SMF forum. Those templates matched the Joomla templates made at that time. Where are they? Yesterday and today I spent some time searching this (and the rocketwerx) forum but found nothing. I did find the post with the results of a voting (which templates should be converted/ported to SMF), here
http://www.rockettheme.com/option,com_smf/Itemid,190/topic,1804.90/viewResults,1/
I also downloaded the winning template (Fire) but no trace of a SMF template. At least, not that I could find.
Am I looking in the wrong place, am I doing something wrong, did I miss something or are they gone? If anyone could enlighten me in some way, that would be appreciated.
I posted this question here as I don't know where it ought to go :-\
DeeGee, I believe you came in too late. The SMF template was removed a few months back. You might want to try searching from Members Submission if there are some from other club members.
The SMF club was totally separate from RT Joomla club, with separate membership. Whats more, the club shut down a while ago. You can probably ask Andy to sell you membership, email support@rockettheme.
You also skipped reading the rules. Please modify your avatar
RT, in collaboration with members of the Joomla core team have started up rocketwerx.com, and are working on a phpBB3 bridge. Focus has shifted to phpBB3, and you can expect matching phpBB3 themes for the RT templates.
another thing to think about is that those templates were created for SMF 1.( ?) and now smf has made some major changes and those older themes may not work as well as you had hoped.
Thx for enlighting me, I didn't know it was a seperate club!
Also, I have been browsing the rocketwerx-forum. I have decided on postponing the project until the bridge for phpbb3 is released. I have some experience with SMF and although it did work for me, I wasn't competely satisfied (to say the least). I hope the bridge will be a lot better (well, if it's half the quality of the templates, I'm one happy bunny!).
Sorry about the Avatar, the one I uploaded through a url WAS small. What I didn't know was that it was a resized picture, done on the fly. So the url pointed to the original picture which was *slighty* larger. My apologies gentlemen!
