some help needed with charachter set

hello chaps, this is the usual place to come for help when something stumps you
i've got an issue with character set but only since i moved it onto the live server (so i've nailed it's a server issue)
basically if you check here:
c3p0.biz/infra1/index.php?option=com_search&Itemid=30
the swedish characters come out fine
but if you look here:
www.infra.se/index.php?option=com_search&Itemid=30
the swedish characters don't come out fine ... although everything is the same
anyone know what i can do to fix this i dont know anything about servers ...

I think that it is a character encoding issue.
In the site that works properly, the character encoding is: ISO 8859-1
In the site that is messed up, the character encoding is: UTF-8
Have you double checked your database on the new server to make sure that it is using the same character set?
