    Image Quality and IE

Posted 9 years 8 months ago
    • Hello.

Developing a site (currently at test1.appealtech.info).

I have three .pdf calendars that I converted to .png (as well as to .jpg) for thumbnail purposes. The site shows the thumbnail of the calendar, and when you click, you get the .PDF version.

Everything looks fine in Firefox and Chrome, as well as on mobile browsers on my Android phone. However in IE (version 10 and 11), the thumbnails are distorted.

I can't find anyway to get the thumbnails to look as sharp as they do in non-IE browsers.

      Any suggestions?

      Thanks

      Ed

    • it seems that this is a result of how IE is distorting the image from having to shrink it so much. Your "thumbnails" are 1700px by 2200px. that is a wee bit large for this purpose. I would reduce them to something like 340px by 440px.
