    Mac or PC?

    • Just what everyone uses and prefers.

If you' care to elaborate why you use what you use I'd be interested.

    • I use a Windows PC.

I really don't have a preference one way or the other, though. With a PC, it is possible to get a little lot more machine for the dollar, although the amount of time invested in getting it "just right" is also likely to be higher. Macs tend to be a little less headache for most people.

      Macs are also prettier.

lol, yeah. I remember at the turn of the century when all those funlky colored I-macs were about and internet cafe's all over london bought them just because of this (and there reliability) Compared to the then beige PC towers there was little competition in the looks department.

    • I have been a Windows users for a long time and have had great success with it. However, my next PC purchase will be a Mac Pro. I have a friend who was also a long time Windows guy and he bought a Mac Pro. After a few hours with it I became a convert. I will be leaving my Windows roots behind.

    • Things that stops me from converting is I have so much software for the PC that wont work on a Mac. Sort of like start again time.

On Intel Mac, you can install Windows and use your PC software. But I understand that if you have expensive licences like Creative Suite, etc., it would cost a lot to buy new licences for Mac.

    • I have a love /hate relationship with Windows (PC)

After all I've heard, read and seen, i'll be buying a Mac the minute it makes financial sense to.

Hi yves, I was aware of this but to me it seems pointless. Id be looking to go the Mac route to get rid of the amount of tech support you have to give windows daily thus slowing your productivity.

Im not sure but Id imagine Windows running on an intel mac to be just as unstable compared to mac OS as a PC running windows compared to a mac OS.
