I checked this out in IE6...
I didn't get any errors reported and the page loaded fine.
Although, I can almost guess that if you are getting errors like "page won't load, IE is shutting down." It could be due to too much js and IE can't handle it. Turn on your joomla debugging and this may reveal the culprit. - "Everyone has to get knocked-down every once-in-a-while, otherwise you'll never learn how to get-back-up!

- I've seen these errors pop up on extremely busy shared hosting providers. Basically, the server takes too long to dish up the goods, and some browsers, especially IE, give this sort of error message.
