Header question and phpBB3

I have no idea where to put this. So if I am posting in the wrong area I apologize.
But is there a way to put the header and menu ( I have the populus template) from populus and place it in the overall header in phpBB 3. They are both on the same server different databases, I would use the wrapper but for a forums the wrappers really do not cut it. Especially when posting. So I am trying to figure out a good alternative to the wrapper and was wondering if this is possible. I already did some minor mods to a template to get it closely matching the theme m8-2.com/m8forums/index.php

for those interested I actually figured out how to do it..... Sweet just some basic conflicts in the css to work out and trying to figure out how add some of the modules like the shoutbox on a non Joomla page. Plus ZGet IE to see things like everyone else does,

The only page I had to play with was the overall header
I added three css links to the head section of the html and the header to the body just below the body tag and that was it.
