getting logged out of backend

Hi everyone
After browsing this forum I decided to install joomlaXplorer as I was having trouble uploading some files due to permissions. Ever since, whenever I've tried to do ANYTHING I get logged out of backend.
I've uninstalled joomlaXplorer but I'm still having trouble getting logged out all the time. I'm a complete newbie to this so can anyone help please?

- when you say getting logged out do you just login and it logs you out as you're doing something specific, is it random or after a set time ... do you have any error messages?

Its nothing specific and seems completely random. It happens a lot when I try and edit something. As soon as I hit the save, apply or sometimes close it takes me back to my homepage. No error messages.
Its very frustrating. >

Thanks for that Joe, but for now I'm not using Xplorer.
Ive just deleted everything and done a fresh install of Joomla using Fantastico.
The same thing is still happening. It wont even let me add content to my frontpage now. Would a manual installation of Joomla help?
