Hello all,
I've been working for a while on a web site for a small college and I've again reached the point where some outside help would be useful. Although the college is small it's large enough that it would be very helpful to have some sort of database-linked components to meet the following needs:
- Personnel Directory
Such as something like that present here: unicomm.byu.edu/directories/ although the size of the directory would be smaller. - Course Catalog
A listing of classes along with their rooms, times, and categorizations. - Housing Classifieds
Fairly straightforward, just a place where students can post their need for apartments or roommates, or where someone with a room or space to rent can make it known to students.
In my search through the extensions on the Joomla! site the only one of these that I've been able to find anything close to what I need is for the classifieds (since there is a category for that), but even there I didn't find the reviews or demos very helpful so I would appreciate some guidance or input even on that, if anyone has any to offer.
For the both the catalog and the directory something like a spreadsheet could work for me, basically a glorified table that allied sorting and had hooks for some basic CSS formatting.
Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions please share. Also, if I've been at all vague on what I'm looking for then feel free to ask clarifying questions.
