I usually don't pay much attention to pagerank. I just installed a little FF extension on that shows pagerank and laughed when i saw this.
On one of my sites, the main page, has a few hundred quality inbound links, decent traffic, and is page one in the serps for a few keywords. Did a little extra work on it to get it there. It's a got PR4.
Off of that domain, in a completely different file system, isolated environment, a development subdomain. They aren't linked, nobody ever visits it, zero traffic. It's got 5-6 Joomla sites with crap all over them, stock installs, some testing, just crap that changes all the time. It's got a PR5.
So I think Google is trying to tell me I'd be better off with crap all over the place. Might give it a try.
I was just reading today on Web Pro News how 1 in 3 blogs are spam.
Ive noticed some of my sites that have been online for a long time with not many incoming links and limited updating are perfoming really well PR wise and Results wise in Google - I think time online is a big part of their algorithm.
But yeah I don't pay too much notice to Page Range and things like Alexa rankings.....
Unitl my page rank is zero, 0, nothing and the sit eis full of news content already, plus link back to my advertiser, can you please help me which setting i shoul;d do, i think there is a setting in my joomla that is not right.
