different login module ?

Hi all,
I am using the default Joomla 1.5 login module ( not using cb ) and i would like to either change the way it looks or use a different module. Lke i would like to add an avatar being displayed like with the cb login module and have a login "button" instead of a text link only. I would also like to have a "remember me" check box.
Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction ? I'm guilty of being a joomla noob

Yes i have checked Joomla extensions, but did find what i was looking for. Maybe i haven't looked good enough ? Is there a extension that would allow me to change the look of the login module ?
I also posted the same topic over at the Joomla forums right after i posted here, but no replies yet
