Paid subscriptions module or hack

I need a subscription module that handles the following (i believe someone has a hack for it on this site, which is fine by me..im interested in making my site functional)
1) At the main screen there is a login screen but registration or join now sends them to a payment screen that gives them options for "which plan thy'd like" and once paid, creates a user login and access only to paid content.
2) articles that may be posted but only access to those that customers have paid for.
Any help pertaining to this would help.
I have explored jcontentsubscription but Im pretty confused by the how to documents.
I also explored the search here, but the moslock module seems to no longer be available.

Ok. I have a customer who wanted to have some paid content on her site.
I installed Juser and JContentSubscription to handle it. Both are written by the same people (joomlaequipment.com) so they work together nicely.
I was able to make a custom registration form, to collect further details from members.
So registration is free, then we come to buying a subscription.
You can set up one, or many subscription plans, each providing access to various bits of your site.
We use the PayPal module, which is built in to JCS.
After paying, users get instant access. There are lots of options, for example we have a built-in discount for renewals.
The coders were super-helpful to me, I usually got a response by Skype IM immediately (when they are online obviously).
The english is a bit wrong in places, but it's easy enough to go through the english.php file and sort it out (I have sent a corrected copy to the developers so they may fix it up in later versions).
We havn't really gone live with this site yet so I can't report on any long-term issues which may crop up.
Honestly, it's the best support I've received.
