I'm switching to Chromatophore, and I'm running into issues that seem to continously exist between RT and thumbnail galleries. I want to setup some thumbnail galleries, but I need the gallery to be able to handle folders and captions. By folders, I mean I don't want to have to hard-code every entry into the gallery, and I want the ability to have just one image used as the "display" image for that gallery.
From what I can see, rokzom just won't do it. I've tried using the simple image gallery pro, which supports multiple engines, but I still can't get it to run - the images open up in new tabs and the vendor usually points to conflicts between it and RT.
Can anyone recommend a thumbnail gallery that works with RT and provides the functionality that I've described? I'd love to see RT provide this sort of functionality in rokzoom some day...

Well, the search for compatible galleries goes on... In the meantime, I've found a useful link that compares image galleries, figured it might help someone.

Have you tried setting the display option of Simple Image Gallery Pro to use Greybox? Using this option I have had it working properly with a number of different RT templates that use mootools. There have been some recent suggestions from the SIG Pro developers in their forum as to how to solve the Mootools conflicts , but I have yet to find the time to read them and try them.

Thanks. I'll check out the forum again (and try this new one). I think part of the problem is that the SIG developer needs to figure out what to change in each RT template, which from his point of view, is surely a pita.
