Hi i'm new to the Joomla community and am learning fast however I really would like some comments from the community to help me develop my site even more.
1) I am looking to develop an area of my website (using the Mediamogol theme) as a Wiki (that will be known upon my site as 'the Lexicon'). This area will provide an evolving encyclopedia, complete with illustrations, maps on the books upon which the website is devoted. I currently have over 2300 .htm pages upon another site with this information, that was based upon the brilliant site below: www.glyphweb.com/arda/ to see what I mean.
Is their any extension that I can add to the MediaMogol and Joomla that will allow me to create an encyclopedia that will also allow fans to upload their own additions - after I have proofread and edited the content?
2) I am also looking to intergrate an online shop to the theme that will enable me to sell the books direct from the publisher to fans. Again is their an extension that will enable me to do this? If so what is the best?
All help would be great.
