Google List Ads: Paid-per search click or pay-per list click?

- One thing I have been meaning to research is whether or not you get paid per click when using Google list ads? When you click on one, it takes you to a Google search page with all ads, so I wasn't sure if 1.) You get paid simply for them clicing through to the search page or 2.) They have to click the list, then click an ad on the next page....meaning a 2-click process to get paid.

If someone has some on their site, I could always do a *test* to find out if you set up a channel and track it.
I really like the slide design and they fit well in some areas of my site, but if it
s a double click needed to seal the deal, I might just stick with text ads and not try to use lists.
Anyone?
