It's like this: In the mainnenu I want first a menu link that says Article Categories. Under the Article Categories link I want a menu link that says Tutorials. And finally, under the Tutorials link I want a link that brings the user to the first page of my tutorial and I would call that link Pencil Portrait Tutorial. When the user clicks this Pencil Portrait Tutorial link they should be led to the first page (i.e., Article) of my tutorial.
There was no problem creating the menu items for Article Categories and Tutorials. But when I tried to create the Pencil Portrait Tutorial item there was no article link listed that I could associate with that menu item. Or at least it wasn't immediately apparent how I could associate the actual article link with the menu item.
Article Categories -> Tutorials -> Pencil Portrait Tutorial (should lead to actural article URL)
-> Art Supply Tutorial (should lead to actual article URL)
-> Art Marketing -> PPC Engines (should lead to actural article URL)
-> List (should lead to actural article URL)
-> etc.
create a separator/placeholder with title Article Categories
another separator/placeholder titled Tutorials and specify the above as parent item
Then create a new menu for your article Pencil Portrait Tutorial by:
Create new: Internal Links: Article: Article Layout
Specify the article you want to be displayed Which is pencil portrait tutorial.
Parent Item should be the placeholder you created which is Tutorials
Thank you Mike. I did follow this whole procedure to the t before but in the end it does not list the URL that goes with the article. I finally solved it by creating the URL myself and pasting it in. Thanks
