Issue with Jomcomment - anyone else?

    • Right, I've had the guys at Jomcomment look this over and they sat there is nothing else they can do but the issue persists.

Basically my site is at www.avfcblog.com . The homepage number of comments is always correct, it might say 10. But a regular visitor might click in and only see 8. If they're using FF they just force a reload and they appear, for users if IE7 they have to clear their cahce to view the comments.

Anyone else had this issue and know what it could be? All caching within Joomla is off.

    • It would help to know what version of Joomla you are using, since the Cookies are handled completely different

    • I had some issues like this not too long ago with Jom Comment, but it went away...once I started over. :)

Did you perhaps upgrade versions by uninstalling the old and installing a newer version and something wasn't written quite right to the db, perhaps? Other than that, I couldn't even venture a guess. I am not a fan of Azrul's support, so I feel your pain.

PS...got this twice when I clicked on your forums...but then they loaded fine:

Serious db problem:You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near \'where userid=0\' at line 1 SQL=UPDATE mos_fb_sessions SET allowed=\'na\', readtopics=\'\', lasttime= where userid=0

    • That sounds like there is something with the versions, Did you install the j1.5 version by accident or maybe an older version?
