    Unable to Login

Posted 16 years 11 months ago
    • I have a problem that has my site at a standstill. Users are able to register but are unable to login on my site. I have seen you guys tackle some tough problems and find solutions. I am in desperate need of some insight. I have tried everything I can think of to make it work. I appreciate any help you can give.

      The site is http://www.thinkriteherbals.com

Below is the error message that shows when someone tries to login:

The website declined to show this webpage
      HTTP 403
      Most likely causes:
This website requires you to log in.

      What you can try:
Go back to the previous page.

    • I could not register, it said that my email address was invalid, which it isn't.
I see that you are using Joomla 1.0.x, go through the tutorial here for roklogin and ensure that you have it setup correctly.

You do have Registration enabled in the Global Configuration?

Failing the above, disable 3rd party extensions one at a time to determine if there is a conflict.

    • Thank you so much for the reply. I really appreciate you taking the time to look into this for me. I have never had it tell me anything about an invalid email address. I have been able to register many times and other people are registering, as I am getting the emails letting me know each time someone registers.

I do have registration enabled in the Global Configuration and at one point the registration was functioning.

Please give me an example of what you mean by 3rd party extensions so I can try that as you have suggested.

      Thanks again

    • I clicked on the link you gave to check and see that my module was properly installed and setup. Did you have a login module specific tutorial or were you simply wanting to see the generalized module installation and set up?

      Thanks

    • Try disabling Virtumart and see if that fixes it. I believe it will and I think it is a VM problem

    • Well I will go try that right now but you know I used a login before with vm and it worked. Do you think it is just the roklogin that may have a conflict with vm?

      Thanks
