    • I am wondering what is the best approach to put up an alternate home page indicating the website is closed.

    • I've always placed a custom made index.html page stating under construction in the root directory,, use .htaccess to direct to that page

    • Can't you just set it to offline and edit the offline page?
      Thats what I do.

      It's me again with another simple question. What is the best way to redirect your site to different url while the joomla site is undergoing maintenance? Should I use the index page or is their coed to put into the template html?
