    Joomsuite. Good or bad?

    • First and foremost I have not tried their products. The cost is high just for 1 component, but they have a ton of features packed into it, so it sounds worth it. Obviously many people here make websites for their clients, so maybe some of you have bought a part of the JoomSuite for your clients.

      1. Are the components really flexible that you do not need to customized anything within the files? They are encrypted with Ioncube. I know I could email them theses following questions, but they will always back up their components. Rant: Joomla is GPL, any things that is for joomla has to be gpl right?

      2. I search the words ioncube, and only 1 article showed which was the license agreement. Kinda sneaky? In F.A.Q. there are articles showing What ioncube is and how to install it yet they do not show up in the search. Which leads: how is their support? I see that their is no forums, nor does their search say anything about forums. Kind of a downer that there is no community to try to help each other.

In conclusion, Is it worth buying their components or should the money be spent on other components.

    • I have been using their Content component for a while on a betasite I'm testing, and all the content is run through this component. That would be, up- and downloading of files with of course lists of all the files, articles, image-galleries, a catalog with websites, and a lot more.

I would have appreciated a more open source for the components I use (I also use 3 more components from JoomSuite), but I do understand why they go the ioncubeway.

The support is pretty good, but the main problem can be to understand his english. But usually this won't be a problem, and the bloke is a nice guy.
