    • Hi

I'm fairly new to the club, and to Joomla. I'm not a web designer or adminsitrator, just a small business owner with no money to pay a web designer... so sorry if these are noob questions.

I have a basic site installed with my host, a Joomla 1.somethng install. I've since joined the club, downloaded mediamogul 1.5 and I want to make that my site. I've been playing around and tweaking things on the template and I've got most of it how I want it, now it's just a case of loading it up over my existing site and plugging content in. But how best to do that?

I read somewhere it's best to FTP the files up, rather than using a fantastico one-click-install for Joomla 1.5 so that all the RT modules get loaded, so is that the best option? Or, should I delete all the files that are there now and copy the new ones in their place, or just overwrite any existing files? is there a tutorial somewhere that will help me to do this? Any suggestions?

      Thanks in advance...

    • Oh, AND another question... is there any way to use the Joomla "Site Down for Maintenance" message from the Admin config page in place during the upgrade?
