    • I am looking at making a gaming community site and want to have separate pages for each platform. I also want them to look like the main page but each be separated and not have same content. Is there a way to do this? Having multiple players, scrollers, ect? If not Ill just make main page with news from all and use the Seyret player for the rest of the sites content. Thanks

    • I was referring to the Hyperion template. I don't know why my topic was moved in the first place cause it was directed towards that template and its unique features. I have used joomla for some time now and know what can be done with content. I was looking at creating multiple pages that use the recent videos, news updates, and RokContentRotator individually without having multiple Joomla! installations for each section. Example having 2 or more recent video modules that aren't tied together.

    • Joomla components are pretty flexible along with templates. You can achieve this type of setup by doing some creative component copying and template duplication and menu item assigning.
      Let me explain...

You can make multiple copies of most components that are installed. Once you have a copy you can then give the copy separate config settings allowing you to point to different directories, menu items etc. So if your using a image display component you can make a copy of it, assign it a new dir for images etc. and then assign it to only appear in the menu items you chose.

On templates this one is a little more difficult.
You can take any template and by modifying the .XML file and the name of the zip file you can place it is a new directory when it is installed.
It can then have separate images, css files etc. and as with components you can have the template only appear on certain menu items.
To see an example of the template dups download the rt_dimensions_cod4 template packs from Rocketlabs:
      www.rockettheme.com/option,com_docman/ta.../gid,162/Itemid,113/

They are basically the same base template with different css images etc. Once you have the multiple templates setup you can then assign a "default" template for "front page" and then assign a different template for the other sections using menu assignments.
