    SOLVED Xe-WebTV incompatibility

Posted 17 years 8 months ago
    • Hello,

I purchased the Xe-WebTV component and I would like to mention an incompatibility of this component with some Rockettheme templates like Carbonation and Mobius. All the modules after the component (eg: users 6,7,8,9 and footer in carbonation) are distorced.
I don't know how I can resolve this issue (I tried to modify and remove the last <table> displaying Powered By...) but without success.
I don't saw any problem with versatility II...
Andreas Kuster, the Xe-Media Admin tell me to change the template! :o Very simple for him but not for me!
I worked a lot in the carbonation template to build my portal and I want to use Carbonation!!! Also I don't want if it's possible to unpublish all the modules under the xe-webtv component!
If anyone have an idea to correct the issue please tell how :-*
You can see 2 screenshots with mobius and carbonation templates ;)

    • Frank, you might try another template just to narrow your search for the problem. You can always switch the template back to what you had. I'd suggest that you try a different RT template and a non-RT template to just see what happens.

I'm not a coder, but I'm sure that someone would step up to the challenge.

      Good luck, Frank.

      dave :)

    • I suggest you to take a look to the css and the html of this component.
We cannot help you more as mostly of us didn't have this component.

    • Yes Youyou, I tried to analyse the php and the css but it's too dificult for me... But I hace one little idea. When I look the webtv listing, all the screenshots are in left side of main body. Then all the modules under the screenshots don't disply correctly. But When I choose one TV, the screenshot of the TV chanel is in the center of the new page. In this case, I don't have this issue. All the module under the screen are displayed correctly...
Then, I think it's necessary to all screen in the previous page at the center. But I don't know exactly how to do this. I need to have more time... probably when I'll finish the portal.

      Thanks ;)

    • After several issues with another customers, the admin provide us a fix in the php file. The issue is fixed in firefox but there is a little distortion with the mainbody of carbonation template when use IE (aaallllways this ridiculous IE ::) ).

    • Hi Dion!
You can see the result in my portal www.guyaneweb.com
You will see the link for Web TV's in the main menu.
With this component you can choose popup or not.
Yes, I like this but it's not perfect yet. However, I think it would be a great diferencial for your portal ;)
