Can I backup Database entries and then run rocket launcher?

I have found that the way I installed Versatility III was not the right way and I should have used the Rocket Launcher in the first place. Being that rocket launcher wipes everything out, is it possible to make a backup of my database, and then restore it after running the rocket launcher? This clean install would eliminate many of the problems I have reported on. I found this out by using this method on another project.
