intro text not working in blog pages

Hi,
This problem is probably going to sound simple to you guys but here we go:
I've created in my admin panel a section and a categorie name Technologies so far so good.... Create after that a menu item called technologies linking to an article section/blog... it looks great with a few article example but with a small problem: I can see all of the text instead of a intro text... links to the articles a working fine and all just that I cant figure out the intro text and word counts like in joomla 1.0 ( i'm using 1.5 now and dont have 2 columns in my admin area, one for the introtext and one for the full text ) so i'm a little troubled with a small problem like that...
Would appreciate any kind of help here,

Hi again,
In time, I figured quite a few thing myself....
I'm probably the only one here but I still need to know a few things... For example the <p> is creating a conflict in explorer so I have to use the <br/> all the time to make my text aling to left properly in explorer. Would love to only write and place pictures or videos without having to correct everything in html replacing <p> by <br/> only to give spacing and to aling to left in explorer.
Have a solution ? I'm getting use to it but hate it in a way..
