Joomla 1 or 1.5

Having created several Joomla 1 sites I am now about to launch my next Joomla site, and the question I am asking myself is whether to use 1.0.15 or 1.5.5. I know Joomla 1.0.15 inside out, but also have enough experience in the beta stages with 1.5.
The factors are therefore as follows, and I would appreciate any feedback based upon your own experiences of 1 and 1.5:
1. Speed of loading pages - particularly in legacy mode which I need to use for a particular extension
2. Stability
3. Availability of native extensions

I have to agree with both alain and CG Icon. As much as 1.5 is the bees knees, it seems that I spend more time looking for plugins that are 1.5 native to perform specific tasks. It appears that the stability of the 1.5 installation has not caught up with some of the plugin writers, although it may well not be that alone as many write plugins in their free time and time perhaps is not on their side due to the immense speed at which 1.5 is evolving.
Having said that, I do like 1.5 and the lack of native plugins is not always a drawback. As CG Icon says, "It is getting closer and closer". - Rob
