Hello all,
I'm not sure if this is correct question for these forums, but I'll give it a try.
The thing here is, that the site works nicely with Hivemind template and all, but I'd like to have two separate user groups with same privileges, ie. Registered & Registered2. I can't use "Author" or any of those, because I indeed need two groups with same, low-level privileges where they can see different content. I tried searching from these forums, from Joomla help also and googled, but all I could find was some add-ons that modify Joomla and enable the creation of new user groups.
The thing is to have two types of groups. Group 1 could see different content than Group 2, but still both have low-level access that they can't contribute to the site or anything, just view different content.
I assume that these groups are defined in some text files (php perhaps?), but I couldn't find those.
Any ideas, anyone?

I found other extensions also, but they had so much bad AND good reviews, so I didn't know which to trust. This seems good.
Are there any non-commercial options available to modify the groups and users as described in the original question? It's strange that they don't have this feature built-in in J!. - Last Edit: 16 years 8 months ago by Markku L.
