Special User Specific info after Login - help! (plz)

Hello fellow Joomlites & Rocketeers - Thank you in advance for your help!
I am putting together a site for a mortgage professional who would like the ability for a user to login & view what stage the individual loan process is in.
In essence, each user/mortgage client would have their own login information that would reveal the stage that their individual loan is in. (Not viewable or readable by other users of course. - however, 'updateable' by admin.)
Is there a forum topic that has already discussed this, or maybe perhaps I have missed something in the J! documents? Maybe an extension is necessary? Any help is appreciated.
I understand registered users and such, but need a spot of help in setting up this 'user specific' information.
(I hope I am being clear!)
