Hi.
I am completely new to Joomla and RocketTheme templates, but not to web design or Adobe Fireworks.
I created a new logo file (attached) to replace the existing logo file in style 7 of Populus, but all my attempts to upload the file via FTP have been thwarted by denied permissions.
I am frustrated by incomplete instructions I've read, even in this forum. If I hear another person say to set something to 777, I'll scream. I don't know what that means, how to do it, or if it even applies to my situation.
Please. Please. Please. Help.

Apparently, the template files installed didn't get the right ownership. Do this:
1. Assign another template as default.
2. Copy your template folder to your local computer through FTP.
3. Delete the template directory on your host.
4. Upload through FTP the template folder you saved on your computer.
5. Reassign the new template as default.
6. Upload your modified logo.
PS: if you cannot delete the template directory (point 3), install JoomlaXplorer , you should be able to do it with this component. - Yves
