Hello,
I am creating a website where the primary goal would be for blogging. I am using the Periphelion launcher 1.5 for the site.
What extensions are good for blogging, easy to install and configure for a newbie like me.

MyBlog
The newest version (2.0?) should have been out by now; if not already, I would expect it to release in the not-too-distant future. Give it a look: www.azrul.com
There are also a couple decent free components listed in the Joomla mothership's extension directory. I would start with those, play around a bit, see if they serve your need, and when they don't, give MyBlog a test drive.

I have recently added Mojoblog to a Hivemind site I have worked on
got it from Joomla>extensions

mojo is J!1.0 only...
so dont waste your time trying legacy mode on 1.5
MyBlog is the best by far, just takes a little cash to acquire it... - Send moderators PMs ONLY if they request it.

I am using Idoblog Pro from
www.idojoomla.com
on my site and this Blog works perfectly in my eyes. The second reason for Idoblog for me was the extremly fast Development of this Programm. In a few days there will be a new version with large Community Features come out.

Yea, I think that will put an end to MyBlog sooner or later; can't want to get my hands on Tamka.
There are still a number of issues with MyBlog 3, so I withdraw my plug for that component and now a fan of Tamka in theory.
