I thought I would start a topic for people to list their "must have" extensions that they always put on new sites. And perhaps why they think you must have it. Would be interesting to see what people use.

2 Joomla - 2J News Slider - Joomla content slider - Not free but worth every penny!!
Add Mass Content (Should be a core feature!)
Banner Slider (v 0.9 - super simple - nothing fancy, rotates banners)
DocMan (in legacy mode on 1.5)
Joom!Fish (Beta 2 is pretty stable, RC1 came out last week)

RokSlideshow (Can't wait for Joomla to go Moo1.2 so they can upgrade to Slideshow2
(There are 2 more of our own I would put on the list but my bias would make the suggestion useless. ) - Say no to Internet Explorer 6.

My Fav is Fire bug followed by Fireworks.. two most common things I use ALL the time ...
Actual Plugin Components?... CB, Alpha Content, My Blog / Jom Comments, HWD Video, Sobi2 ,, (the whole group jive Eventslist, Fireboard intergration thingy) JCE, Banners Manager, Marketplace, etc etc

CG Icon, are you using those in a 1.5 environment? If so, I'd like to see a link to your site.
I've been trying to develop a J1.5 community based site and it's been a major headache. The new CB component works but half the CB plugins and modules don't work. There are no community oriented photo galleries that work well, Seyret and PU Arcade aren't native. The community oriented extensions just aren't ready for J1.5 from what i can see.
