How to use "Read More"

Could someone please explain how to use the "read more" button (both auto and manual) or point me to the info? I need the dummies explanation.

- Inserting the Read More is a little different in J1.5 that is was in J1.0. Which are you using? In J1.5, when authoring an artiicle, simply click the Read More buttton at bottem of editing window to insert the tag. Everything before the tag is considered "intro" text and everything after that is only display by clicking Read More or by viewing the complete article.

- I'm using J1.5. The problem I was having was how to use "read more" in a module. I finally just linked the article to a button in the main menu and then copied and pasted the URL as a link for "read more." After that I could do away with the menu button. It just seems like there should be a lot easier way.

For Modules, that is the easiest way.
If you use JCE (Joomla Content Editor) for your WYSIWYG editor, it has a feature that lets you browse directly to the article without having to make a Menu item for it. - Thanks,

I think an even easier way is with Linkr ( codes.statsful.com/linkr )
