Rights Problem after Catalys Joomla is installed

Dear Sir,
We have installed Joomla provided by the RTTC our theme is Catalyst.
Now after installation we are facing the problem of Upload and making changes into the file from the back admin room.
Whenever we go to the template manager and tries to make the changes to the site than at that time it is showing that the directory is unwritable or file is unwritable.
how to overcome this problem at our site.

This has nothing to do with the templates. Make sure params.ini is set to "646" when it comes to file permissions. See CHMOD instructions
So, writable files should be 646 and folders that needs write permissions should be 655 (or sometimes 755).
666 is NEVER needed in Joomla afaik
