    really eambarrasing noob question

Posted 16 years 6 months ago
    • sorry for asking such a noob question.
how would i make sure that when a new user registers with the site, the system email is sent to someone else who also is a "super administrator" on the site.

Are the new user registration emails, automatically sent to all user administrators on the site, or just one by default.?

Im trying to make sure one of the individuals who is a super administrator other than me, gets notified every time a new user registers with the site.

again sorry for the dumb question, but you you guys rock with support.

      ;)

    • Retired, but build and run websites for organisations of school leaders and others - e.g. http://www.icponline.org, http://www.aspa.asn.au, http://www.appa.asn.au

    • My understanding is that the email would go to the email address in the Global Site Configuration screen. At least, that is what happens on my sites that run using Joomla 1.0.X.

    • thanks for the response. I see what you are saying, i had thought so too..then i changed that email address in the configuration page. to the one my client will be using. (it was originally set to my email address) now that I have changed it, I still keep receiving emails every time a new user registers with the site.

    • When you give a member "Administrator" permissions, you can check the box "Receive System E-mails", clicking on their user account a second time after you have given the permissions.

    • Thank you very much for that. And I guess by saying No to the same thing on my account, I would not get any of the system emails.
