    • Thanks a lot guys!

Just one question about these security changes. Have you got some issues to access the mambots? I mean a restricted access to open mambots or another function in the admin panel?

Yeah--that's a known issue and there's a fix. The file is attached.

    • Thanks Stephen! Now I need to delete all the installation and make all again :-\ Fortunately, I made only the installation of joomla in my server and I lost time but not contents!
I have an 500 internal error when I want to access the site.... ???

I hope that joomla 1.5 will be more easy to install than 1.0.11 :D

    • Except for the Mambot file bug, I've had no trouble installing. I've been using Joomla from before it was Joomla - the Mambo days.

The problem may be that your sever is set differently than it should. But, Joomla uses a typical server set up. It's rare, but not totally unseen.

    • Hi dave! Yes, I think it's a problem with the server but it's the first time that I have this issue. I have several joomla sites in the same server and today it's not my day ;)
I will try tomorrow and certainly I will have success with this installation like for all others before ;D

Hmmm...it sounds like your server may be running phpsuexec--the same thing happened to me on one of my servers. Go to your .htaccess and restore it to its original configuartion. Your site should come back up. I had to override the php.ini. There are scripts to help with this process--good thing, because the override file needs to go into every directory!

If you want the scripts, let me know!

    • Exactly Stephen. I needed to restore the .htaccess and my site came back.
Yes, if you have some script to solve this problem I would like to have it with some explanations to install (if you have time).

      Thanks Stephen!
