    • Hello

      For the past week now I have been trying to insert an image into a menu item as I have countless times before. However, this week I am having problems

      When I open the menu item > static content

      I select the insert image icon and the new window opens and then freezes. I close the window and get the massage "this programme is not responding" and then both my Joomla and browser closes down

      I am using JCE editor and have tried changing this without success

      I have also opened up another site and the same happens here

      I am using Firefox and have tried doing the same with IE, However I am having a problem with this as IE will not let me access the CMS with my passords, so until I sort this proble I cant test in new browser

      Any ideas please

    • Just to update this post

      I have managed to access Joomla via IE and am able to insert the required image into my menu item

      Not sure why this has changed as I have always done this in Firefox, but now it freezes my system

      What could be the cause and fix for this?

    • Its ok, Googled and downloaded microsoft malware finder

      Nothing found

      Back to the drawing board I guess

    • I don't trust that application from Microsoft but anyway... What happens if you select TinyMCE or JoomlaFCK as editor?

      Changed from JCE to Tiny as one of the first options and found it to make no difference

    • Ok, then i guess it has something to do with your computer. I would do a full system scan with Nod32, Ad-Aware and Spy Bot search and destroy et cetera. Maybe you have toolbars or browser plugins that may cause trouble.

      Sure it could be something at the server's end but i doubt it :)
