Script to automatically fill in username and password on page

I have a few pages that link off my Joomla main menu that display a web page in a wrapper. These web pages have a username and password login field that are required to display information. This information is read only and all site users enter a default username and password. What I am trying to do is automatically fill in this username and password and login automatically. This way a user on the site simply hits the Joomla menu link and is automatically logged in that page.

...sounds like you are trying to use a link (URL querystring?) to populate the the login and password parameters for an external site?
I would never recommend it, but perhaps something as simple as 'http...thewrappedpage/index.php?login={logingoeshere}&password={passwordgeshere) might work? If you are trying to populate the login and password in the URL based on their joomla information, it gets a bit more tricky, but doable.

The site is internal so you will not have access to view it. I do not need the Joomla username and password. The external sites all have the same username and password directed at "read only" features. Since there is administrative rights on theses sites you still need to login with a username and password even though the "read only" security settings associated with the login and password are for everyone's access. You can't bypass the login page.
I'll try your suggestion and see how it works.
