Contact Page doesn't send email.

Good afternoon.
I added the standard contact page by adding the component to the menu as you would normally in Joomla. The Contact page works as expected but doesn't send email. I thought maybe email wasn't working on my site. But, my site does send email when you create a new user account using the RocketTheme mod_signallogin module.
Can anyone give me any ideas why email is not being sent from the contact page?
