- I'm after a booking system that will work with Joomla 1.5 this is not for booking hotels etc but along those lines. It must have multiple calendars with time slots, a way of paying for the booking and show available/taken slots. Can anyone suggest anything or indeed give me a rough price to create such a component?

- There are many booking extensions available over at JED, it is hard to recommend one before knowing what exactly you want it for, decent ones are commercial, I like AppointmentBookingPro , for a site I use GenBook it is not Joomla extension but it does the job.

GenBook looks fantastic, it has most features I will require however I need appointments to be confitmed with a payment from the customer. I'm looking for a booking system that will allow booking of football pitches, tennis courts and other leisure facilities.
Is there anyone who is able to come up with something along the GenBook lines but with the extras I require? I also require full rights to the software.

I haven't tried any at all but about a year ago I was looking through them and JomBok and JomRes from

- I've seen JoomRes it looks very interesting however the problem with JoomRes is it only looks like it lets customers book per day rather than allowing the user to select a time i.e. book a squash court for a selected time then free the court allowing another booking to take place on the same day. The booking system must allow for time allocation.

Hi everyone, replying to an old thread I know, but I thought I would provide a quick update as based on the above, I bought Appointment Booking Pro. Unfortunately wrong app, I needed the functionality of Resource Booing Pro, but alas having tried both apps, I got a refund
.
I have to say that Rob Stevens of Soft Ventures is an extremely customer focussed chap, he let me try both apps after paying for only one, then realising I had an issue just refunded me without even asking
.
So, the apps - Both apps are superbly designed, also look and feel absolutly solid. However, ABPro is ideally suited to timeslots within a day, you cannot span past midnight. RBpro is more or less what I was looking for, but I was hoping to integrate with a simple catalog of resources using links from the catalog containing URL parameters to link to the correct point in the resource booking process.
Unfortunately, the front end of the RBPro process is not implemented in this way, so all links from the catalog would have had to go to the same page, to select the resources from a series of Category/Resource dropdowns
.
Also, I am running MySQL - 5.0.1.1 and versions before 5.0.25 generate an error as these components use the advanced Date/Time display capabilities.
Conclusion - Absolutely Class Apps, but just be sure you have a modern MySQL Install and that your needs fit the scope of the apps capability
.

this is just personal opinion, but i'd stay away from jomres or any associated extensions. poor support basically and the extensions might not work as advertised 'out of the box' - www.c3p0.se - sweden
