URGNET HELP: There was a problem connecting to the TMP (security device)

Hello,
Can someone help me solve this little internet connection issue I am experiencing with my Laptop ThinkPad T series Windows XP professional Intel Centrino Duo
Every time I try to open the Firefox I get this pop up window saying:
There was a problem connecting to the TMP (security device) on this computer. It is possible that anti-virus or firewall software is blocking the connection. A missing or disabled device driver could cause this problem. Please refer to the online documentation for more information.This is my works Laptop and I need to find out how to connect online in order to use the remote desktop feature to work from home. Pleaseeeeee some one help. I am looking for a solution and step-by-step advice how to fix it. I am sure there are smart people out here to know the answer.
