Virtuemart is far to much store for my needs, I am looking for alternatives that;
is a cart system
pay with paypal
will return to my site after Paypal and have the various items ready for electronic download,,,,
all I am selling is downloadables,, just a handful of my own products
And feedback would be awesome!
and by the way,, I LOVE what you have done with RT and its new digs..... very very nice!

If Joomla isn't a requirement, you could try

It's perfect for "a handful" of products.
(Or maybe you can put the whole thing in a Content Item somehow) - Say no to Internet Explorer 6.

Hmmm... on closer inspection, it might not be doable (downloadable products)... at least not without some extra coding.
Use the firefox search feature (CTRL+F) and search for "downloadable" in that massive list of comments for more details.
