I have a friend in England that I'm giving a computer to. It's a home built one that I put together over 1 year ago.
QUESTION: Can I send a computer that I built in the USA to the UK? I have removed the power supply so he can install a UK power supply. Is that all I need to do? Is everything else the same?
On my web club, I ran a design-contest with the first prize being a full Linksys networking package. I boxed it up and mailed it. It bounced around in the UK for six months and was never delivered. Finally, they shipped it back to me with the box all busted up and damaged.
Maybe you will have better luck, but I had a bad experience with the attempt.

Thanks for the advise, folks. I'm sending it UPS. I sent a Christmas gift there with no problems by UPS. Plus, it a used computer but I feel like I could get $500 for, so I'm setting that as the value for the customs fee.
The guy on the other end will pay the customs and VAT (reimburse me for shipping). He would probably spend the same amount and get a nice computer, but this one has a motherboard that's better than what you get with most computers at that price.
